TitanX Minimal Privacy Policy
TitanX Minimal is a home screen (launcher) app for Android made by Titan Technologies. This policy explains what the app can see on your phone, what it does with that information, and what it never does.
In short
- We do not collect, store on our servers, sell or share any personal data.
- The app has no internet permission. It cannot send anything off your phone. A web search you start from the app list is handed to your browser, under that browser's own privacy policy.
- There are no ads, analytics, trackers or accounts.
- Everything the app works with stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall it.
What the app uses on your phone, and why
Each of these is used only on your device, only for the feature described, and most require you to grant access in Android Settings first.
- Your list of installed apps: to show your apps on the home screen and in the app list, including Work profile apps if you have one.
- Usage access (optional): to read how long you used each app, so the launcher can sort apps by use, show daily screen time, run the healthy screen time feature, suggest home screen apps on first setup, and check that an alarm or camera screen hasn't just opened before the lock screen shows.
- Smart order: the launcher learns which app you're likely to open next, from your app openings, the time and date, when you unlock, which apps' notifications alerted (never their content), and whether headphones or Bluetooth audio are connected, the phone is charging, and Wi-Fi or mobile data is in use (never which network, and never your location). This is kept only on your phone, fades over up to a year, and can be reset from the launcher menu.
- Notification access (optional): to show which apps have notifications (as app icons and counts, never their content) and, if you turn healthy screen time on, to hold social media notifications and deliver them together at set times. Messages, calls and alarms are never held. It is also used to make sure the lock screen never covers a ringing alarm or call. Notification content is not saved. Short technical identifiers of held notifications are kept on your device for up to two days so they can be delivered on time.
- Display over other apps (optional): so the lock screen can appear each time your screen wakes, and the healthy screen time pause can appear when you open a social media app.
- Wallpaper: while TitanX Minimal is your home app, it keeps your home screen wallpaper plain black, because Android shows it for a moment while unlocking and switching apps; a wallpaper set meanwhile is turned black again. While the lock screen is on, the app keeps the system lock screen wallpaper plain black, so it matches. Turning the lock screen off removes that black wallpaper if it is still the one the app set; the system lock screen then uses your home screen wallpaper.
- Camera flash: the lock screen's torch button turns your phone's flashlight on and off. The camera button opens your own camera app; TitanX Minimal never uses the camera itself or takes pictures.
- Lock pad drawings: anything you draw on the lock screen is saved in the app's private storage on your phone so it is still there next time. Because the lock screen works without unlocking, anyone holding your phone can see it. Tap “clear” to remove it.
- Settings you choose: your home screen apps, hidden apps, renamed apps and preferences are stored in the app's private storage on your phone.
What we never do
- We never transmit your app usage, notifications, drawings or any other information to Titan Technologies or anyone else.
- We never read the text of your notifications for any purpose other than showing that a notification exists.
- We never use your information for advertising or profiling.
Backups
The app opts out of Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer, so its data is not copied to Google Drive or to a new phone.
Deleting your data
All of the app's data is on your phone. To delete it, either uninstall TitanX Minimal, or go to Settings → Apps → TitanX Minimal → Storage → Clear data. You can withdraw any permission at any time in Android Settings; the related feature simply stops working.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above. Because the app does not collect data, a change cannot apply to information we already hold. We hold none.
